Hannah Flannery is actor, musician, and theatre-maker, originally from the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. She graduated from the Queensland University of Technology’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Drama program in 2017, working as a performer, sound designer, and co-writer for her capstone performance, The Things We Lost. Hannah also had the opportunity to develop and perform with The InBetweenies, a joint project between QUT and the Out of the Box Children’s Theatre Festival, in 2016. 2019 saw Hannah train and perform with the Backbone Youth Ensemble, culminating in the production Plus One at the Backbone Festival.

As an actor, Hannah has performed at the Short+Sweet Theatre Festival, Vena Cava’s Fresh Blood Festival, and in Brisbane Arts Theatre’s 2016 production of Are You Being Served?. Hannah has also performed as a vocalist and instrumentalist for TheatreMaker’s Music Theatre Jam throughout 2015 and 2016.

Off the stage, Hannah also has worked as lighting designer and operator for Underground Productions’ Spring Awakening, as assistant stage manager for The Ugly One, and lead/rhythm guitar for Kidnapping for Jesus. In 2019, she worked as stage manager for Interim Theatre’s Within a Fleeting Moment, which was Highly Commended by Anywhere Theatre Festival.

Hannah is thrilled to be working with Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble in 2021.
