Jason Nash

Jason is a theatre-maker, filmmaker, and teacher and has been active in the Brisbane community theatre circuit for the last 15 years. As a director he has tackled a number of shows, with highlights being Radium Girls, Puffs, Mother Courage and Her Children, The Book of Everything, Macbeth, The Wizard of Oz, Deathtrap, Henry IV Pt.1, As You Like It and The Taming of the Shrew. Jason is co-founder of Nonsense and Mayhem Productions, where he and his collaborators focus on a mixture of narrative short films and collaborations with visual artists. Jason has developed multimedia design for stage productions including Radium Girls for Centenary Theatre Group, Managing Carmen for New Farm Nash Theatre, Blood Brothers for Beenleigh Theatre Group and Macbeth for Claver Creative. As a writer, he has had previous stagings of his play St Dymphna’s Academy for Reprobate Children and musical The Waiting Room. Jason has trod the boards in productions such as The Crucible for Beenleigh Theatre Group, The Importance of Being Earnest and Twelfth Night for St Luke’s Theatre Society, Much Ado About Nothing for Villanova Players, The Tempest for New Farm Nash Theatre, Wolf Lullaby for LaSalle Theatre, and Pulp, Tuesdays with Morrie, Humble Boy, Perve, and The Boys Next Door for Centenary Theatre Group.
