JOSHUA MCQUEEN

Joshua is an emerging actor based in Meanjin/Brisbane, currently undertaking a Creative Arts degree at the Queensland University of Technology. His interest in acting grew from a longstanding love of comedy, and he enjoys bringing a sense of fun and play into everything he does. His performance credits include community productions of Shrek the Musical, Heathers: The Musical (Ron Hurley Theatre), and Dying (Anywhere Festival).

Joshua was first exposed to Shakespeare while working as a library assistant, where he developed an appreciation for Shakespeare’s wit and wordplay. This interest deepened after seeing an exceptional production of The Taming of the Shrew by the American Conservatory Theater. He is excited to continue exploring classical text and to undertake further training alongside other passionate actors.
