Public Transport –
The Avalon is easily accessible via bus and the ferry stop is just a short walk away.
Parking –
Google Maps will direct you to the front of the theatre, but parking is not available on the main road. Follow these steps to reach the main car park:
1️⃣ Continue past the theatre until you reach the traffic lights further down Sir Fred Schonell Drive.
2️⃣ Turn left onto Laurence Street, then take the first left onto Macquarie Street.
3️⃣ Drive down Macquarie Street until you see a car park on your left—this is directly behind and connected to the theatre building.
There is also ample street parking available nearby.

11:30am – 12pm – Double, Double, Toil & Trouble – Come and play with the sounds and rhythms of Shakespeare’s words while engaging your voice, brain, body, and creativity. Perfect for our youngest friends, but all ages welcome!
11:30am – 12pm + 3pm – 3:30pm – Meet a Designer – meet a designer (or 2!) as they discuss some of their processes and some of their favourite pieces and productions
12:30pm – 1pm – Carnaval! – Learn a short, fun dance from The Rover to live music!
1:30pm – 2pm – Lunchtime Concert – bring your lunch or grab a snack at Yomigo, settle in and get ready to hear some classic QSE tunes
2:15 – 2:45 – Trivia – bring your QSE and Shakespeare knowledge and join us for a fun round of trivia (and maybe take home a prize!)
ACCESSIBILITY
The Avalon theatre has a small carpark, entry via Macquarie Street, with several PWD parking spaces.
The building is fully accessible, with automated sliding doors at the main entrance, and ambulatory all gender toilets.
The main theatre has a dedicated seating area for wheelchair users, and there is an accessibility ramp that leads to the chill-out zone.
