MALITHI WERAGAMA

Malithi (she/her) is an emerging performance artist based in Meanjin (Brisbane), with a focus on acting and dancing. She draws inspiration for her work from her experiences as a member of multiple marginalised communities, reducing taboos surrounding these identities and offering hope for others in a similar position.

Malithi first fell in love with Shakespeare upon first reading his works in early high school, and she is fascinated by his consistent exploration of the human condition. She has recently graduated with a dual Bachelor’s degree (including in the Drama and Performance major) from QUT, and as an avid fan of both the Bard and QSE’s work, she is so keen to take on this new challenge and expand her acting abilities!
