The Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble invites you into the Forest of Arden as we bring As You Like It to life with a vibrant ensemble, beautiful live music, a touch of melancholy, and a wrestling match thrown in for good measure!
Banished by her power-hungry uncle, Rosalind escapes the court in disguise with her devoted cousin Celia, but not before falling head-over-heels for the noble Orlando. In the Forest of Arden, among goatherds and exiled nobles, fools and lovers, worlds collide as they discover that losing yourself might just be the best way to find out who you really are.
Packed with some of Shakespeare’s most quotable lines and delightful moments, As You Like It is a joyous tale of disguise, discovery, and finding your people.

Public Transport –
The Avalon is easily accessible via bus and the ferry stop is just a short walk away.
Accessibility –
The Avalon theatre has a small carpark, entry via Macquarie Street, with several PWD parking spaces.
The building is fully accessible, with automated sliding doors at the main entrance, and ambulatory all gender toilets.
The main theatre has a dedicated seating area for wheelchair users, and there is an accessibility ramp that leads to the chill out zone.
