Emily Croft
Emily Croft is a UK trained actor who has recently moved to Brisbane after spending a year traveling the east coast of Australia and South East Asia and falling in love with the city.
Emily trained and completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at East 15 Acting School in Essex (UK) where she took on a principle role of ‘Stage Manager’ in her final year production of Our Town by Thornton Wilder. Other highlights from her training include playing ‘Adele’ in Ghost Sonata by August Strindberg, and having the opportunity to go to Bali for the summer to train in Balinese performing arts.
Emily also holds a Certificate of Higher Education in Musical Theatre from Bournemouth Art University and was awarded a distinction level ATCL Performing (Speech and Drama) Trinity diploma.
She has worked professionally around the UK, including touring Once Upon A Princess as the role of ‘Anna’ and the popular British pantomime of Cinderella as Cinderella. Emily fell in love with Shakespeare at sixteen years old when playing the role of ‘Lady Macbeth’ for a school performance and working on Shakespeare Sonnets, Monologues and Duologues throughout her training. Emily also enjoyed being an audience member at The Globe’s A Midsummer Nights Dream, The Barbican’s Richard II and The National Theatres Othello.
Since moving to Brisbane, Emily has been excited to discover the world of performing arts ‘down under’, and is eager to network, train and enrich her craft with Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble as a 2025 apprentice.
