Leah is a budding performer currently studying a Bachelor of Arts/Secondary Education (Drama and English) at the University of Queensland. After reading The Merchant of Venice in English class, Leah became a devoted Shakespeare fan. Since her first performance in a school production as a “precocious child” she has trained with NIDA, NYFA, Peter Rasmussen and Trinity College London. She has also assistant-directed several pieces of children’s theatre and designed the lighting for UQ Drama’s A Night of Absurdism: The Fire Caught Fire.
In 2019 she made her Brisbane debut as Lydia Bennett in Pride and Prejudice with Redcliffe Musical Theatre, and has since performed as Simplicity in Brisbane Arts Theatre’s Dodger and Mrs Smith in The Bald Soprano. With the University of Queensland she has acted in the Vanguard Theatre Festival and completed research readings with the UQ Script Society.
The QSE Apprenticeship is Leah’s first experience with the company and she is grateful for the opportunity to learn from the immensely talented ensemble.
